Hi there and welcome to the June edition of the makeabigdifference newsletter; Young Heroes one stop shop for all the latest stories and fundraising news from the charity.

The first respite breaks of the year have taken place, seeing the return of Bev Law, the charities’ Health Support Co-Ordinator and volunteer husband Rob.  Welcome back home guys!  Bev and Rob play a very important role within Young Heroes and have an amazing rapport with the young people and families they meet.  Often flooded with compliments and praise, Bev and Rob remain modest about their roles but they are very much an asset to the Young Heroes team.

Welcome to the May edition of the makeabigdifference newsletter.  In this months bumper edition we share the stories of 2 fundraisers, Lyndon and Trudie who both ran separate grueling marathons to raise money for Young Heroes.  Neither of them had previously run marathons but both completed them successfully and in fantastic times, raising a phenomenal amount of money for our charity.  Well done you both, you did an amazing job and have proven to others you don’t have to be Paula Radcliffe to run a marathon for charity.

Welcome to this very special Easter edition of the newsletter.

This newsletter is also dedicated to a very special young man called Alex Albiston who sadly passed away March 13^th.

All the staff and volunteers at Young Heroes have been rocked by the loss of Alex, and are deeply saddened that cancer has taken the life of such a young person with everything to live for.
